#6: Under The Watchful Eyez Of Cat Tower

Cat Tower (also known as Tour KPMG)1 loomed over us throughout our stay in Montreal. The view from A.’s apartment, with Cat Tower and other skyscrapers standing over the collapsing apartments of the student ghetto, the ominous low-hanging clouds, and of course the rotating searchlight, had a very Blade Runner (or similar Grim 1980s Vision Of The Future) feel to it. I kept expecting random fireballs and flying cars and apocalyptic android battles and maybe, just maybe, robot love.
Speaking of which, there’s a Blade Runner-related comic coming…well, eventually. There are actually quite a few comics queued up between now and then. Hem hem.
- SkyscraperPage, the site I found Cat Tower’s mundane name on, is GREAT by the way. It’s giving me crazy SimCity2000 nostalgia. Also: WUT [↩]

Don’t forget the massive glowing cross on the face of the mountain; we know who’s really in charge in bleak cyber-punk dystopia.
Also, that’s an awesome website find!
