the crabs were the size of quarters, with bright red shells. . . i assume you eat them whole. with shells and whatnot, only dead. I was going to buy them but they were $6 and I didn't know if I'd like them or not. but i should have.

I was in a grocery store in albuquerque, nm, and in the seafood section they had a big box of live crabs squirming around. and a sign that said 'DO NOT PLAY WITH THE CRABS.' i think that sign was made for me.

I really like the idea of reaching into a box of live crabs, them pinching onto your fingers as you pull your hand out, you tilt your head back and then munch on them in the middle of a crowded theater. I hope that's the way it actually is; reality can be so disappointing sometimes.

Also, I just noticed that you put "conch" instead of "nautilus." I can understand how you could confuse the two curly-shelled invertebrates, but conchs aren't even cephalopods (they're gastropods) and probably taste horrible with paprika! Too late now, it's canon!

For all you super-pedants out there:
Next time you use the plural of "octopus," know that the -us to -i pluralization is from Latin, whereas the root of octopus is from Greek; the plural should be "octopodes."

Also, the next time you feel like time calls for mutual kisses, you can impress your lover by knowing the plurals "penes" and "clitorides!" Prognosis: Sexy adventures ahead!

(Love tips brought to you by <a href="http://alt-usage-english.org/excerpts/fxplural.html" rel="nofollow">http://alt-usage-english.org/excerpts/fxplural.html</a>)
